Order of Merit points are awarded at each of the seven HFRS Golf events played during the course of the season. As well as the player of the year title being up for grabs it is also qualification for the Intoto Cup'

2012 Order of Merit

Every 3 Year's we are offered a heavily subsidised round of golf at Sandy Lodge GC. It was decided years ago that we would hold a Captain VS. Secretary competition. We are limited to the number of places for this day & the teams are selected on a blind draw at the end of the event. Hopefully if the offer is still open to us the next event will take place in 2013.

To decide who gets to play in this event it was voted in that the top 16 players in the previous year's Order of Merit + the Secretary & Captain would be invited to take part.

Therefore this year's Order of Merit is also 'The Race to Sandy Lodge'. Good Luck everybody.

Challenge Series

Challenge Series points are awarded at each of the 3 Challenge Events on the fixture list (Winter, Summer & Autumn). The player with the highest accumulated Stableford Score after the Three Events will be the Challenge Series Winner.

Please Note: The Challenge series events will now be played using a 3/4 Handicap Allowance.

In the event of tied scores after three events the winner will be decided by using a countback method. As usual this will start with the back 9 holes, then 6 then 3 of the last event. If the result is still tied the countback will go further back until we have a result.
